History

Aalborg Industries K.K. can trace its roots back to 1954, when the marine division of Gadelius K.K. was established. The main products in those days were oil-fired boilers, exhaust gas economizers, oil heaters, inert gas systems, and air conditioning systems, which were designed and manufactured under the licenses of European companies such as Sunrod International AB, Fläkt AB, Howden Engineering Ltd., while the division dealt in inert gas generators since 1977 as the sole distributor in Japan for Smit Ovens, The Netherlands.

On the 1st of September 1987 the marine division became an independent company as Gadelius Marine K.K., a Japanese subsidiary of Gadelius Sunrod AB., and in 1993 the company became a member of ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) Group. The name of the company at the time was ABB Gadelius Marine K.K.

In 1995 the company joined Aalborg Industries Group as Aalborg Sunrod K.K., as the result of the acquisition of the Sunrod Group by Aalborg Industries at the end of the previous year.

On the 1st of September 1998, the name of the company was changed into Aalborg Industries K.K.
The purpose of the use of the group unifying name, Aalborg Industries, along with a common company logo, was to enable the customers to easily recognize Aalborg Industries anywhere in the world as one global company ready to serve our customers.

The head office in Japan is located to close to the Kobe container port, and its branch office is located in Akasaka, Tokyo.
