| Type: |
Electrical flow-through heater. Single-pass configuration with quick-change elements (QCE); also available as insert/immersion heater. Can be mounted vertically or horizontally as required. |
| Size: |
The VESTA™ EH series heaters range from Ø150 mm to Ø400 mm shells; heating element lengths from 600 mm to 1,800 mm (overall length 870 mm to 2,250 mm). Nozzles according to DIN 86030 or JIS 16K are tailored to customers' individual requirements. |
| Capacity: |
The heat load ranges from 5 kW to 235 kW with surface loads from 0.8 W/cm2 to 3.0 W/cm2, depending on the limitations of the heated fluid. Any intermediate design is available from the standard range.
The EH series is designed for 180 - 690 V AC/DC; heating elements are manufactured to suit customer specific power source. Design pressure is 16 bar(g).
Design temperature is 160 ºC. |

| Applications: |
The VESTA™ EH series heat exchangers are primarily used as booster/auxiliary oil or water heaters in ships. The flexible design makes them well suited for any application where backup or booster heating is required or where electric power is the cheapest or the only available power source. |
| Equipment: |
The shell is fitted with two ½ inch sockets for mounting of safety valve and drain valve.
The heater is fitted with a safety thermostat and a sensor pocket at the outlet for the working thermostat. A standard working thermostat with either step or PLC control is available; also a Solid State Relay-based control panel with a Pt100 temperature sensor can be supplied. |

The VESTA™ EH series is approved by ABS, BV, DNV, GL, LRS. |
| Delivery: |
Aalborg Industries can deliver any VESTA™ EH series heat exchanger within 2-4 weeks from receipt of order on FCA Aalborg basis. Emergency deliveries within few days for standard types. |
| Warranty: |
Aalborg Industries offers 12 months operating warranty on heat exchangers; maximum warranty is 18 months from time of delivery. |
