MISSION™ CONTROL RELAY/PLC boiler control system
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Description
The MISSION™ CONTROL RELAY/PLC control system is available for the customers who want a non-computerized boiler control system. Usually, such control systems are supplied in a single cabinet, the front of which contains a rhetoric user interface with lamps (LED based for extended life time) and hard wired digital controllers.
Specifics of the MISSION™ CONTROL RELAY/PLC boiler control system
- Non-computerized
- No computing skills needed for operation/maintenance
- May be extended with PLC (KBSA steam atomizing burners)
- Suits pressure jet burners perfectly
- Rhetoric user interface on the front door
The control panel supplied with the boiler provides fully automatic operation of the boiler and the burner. The control panel can be wall mounted or floor standing, usually placed on a nearby bulkhead.
The MISSION™ CONTROL RELAY/PLC system may be extended with a PLC which is a typical solution for Aalborg Industries’ steam atomizing burner type KBSA. In that case, the PLC contains the logic burner sequence and connects the two boilers together for load sharing purposes. It also contains modules for memory, power supply and I/O.
The MISSION™ CONTROL RELAY/PLC control system is typically used for the burners on donkey boilers such as Aalborg Industries’ MISSION™ OS oil-fired boiler and MISSION™ OC composite boiler.
The front of the control panel consists of switches for operation of the boiler and light indicators for indication of alarms and operations. The control panel includes the following:
- Safety device for water level electrodes
- Water level controller for increasing/decreasing the water level
- Alarm indication and operation indication panels for water, steam, oil, burner, and pumps
- Reset button and emergency stop
- Switches for fuel oil pumps for start, stop, and stand-by mode
- Load controller for increasing/decreasing the burner load
- Burner operation mode selector for automatic operation, emergency operation, and burner off
- Burner modulation mode selector for automatic operation and emergency operation
