Samsung Q-Mark (Silver) certificate to Aalborg Industries

Aalborg Industries was again awarded a quality recognition as suppliers of auxiliary boilers to Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea. We earned our Q-Mark certificate already on 1 March 2006 for a three year duration and have just been informed of a renewal of the certification for the coming three years until the end of February 2012.

Samsung Heavy Industries is a leading shipyard building high technology vessels. On a global scale, the yard presently holds a 100% market share for LNG FPSOs, a 70% market share for drill ships and a 30% market share for post Panamax container ships. Samsung also builds conventional tankers (Aframax to VLCC range), arctic tankers, FSRUs and Shuttle Regasification LNG vessel.

We earned the Q-Mark certificate for delivery of an auxiliary boiler.

Aalborg Industries is a preferred supplier of inert gas generator systems for Samsung Heavy Industries' newbuildings.

Samsung Heavy Industries had a naming ceremony on 9 February 2009 for four of the world’s largest LNG carriers (Q-Max, 266,000 m3 each) ordered by Qatar Liquefied Gas Co. Ltd. in Doha, Qatar. The LNG carriers are each equipped with 2 x 8.0 t/h MISSION™ OS oil-fired boilers + 2 x 2.0 t/h MISSION™ XS-7V exhaust gas economizers together with an Inert Gas Generator system of model GIn 22,500 – 0.25 BUFD.
